Birth Planning for Pregnancy After Loss
Lin Yuan, CD
About This Webinar
For families navigating pregnancy after loss, preparing for birth can be especially daunting. Previous loss may profoundly shape a family's expectations, fears, priorities, and sense of safety as they approach labor and delivery. A thoughtful, individualized birth plan can be a valuable tool for helping families identify their needs, communicate their preferences, and feel supported throughout the birth experience.
Led by a bereaved mother and birth doula, this presentation explores how healthcare providers, birthworkers, and other support professionals can help families approach birth planning through a trauma-informed lens, with practical strategies for anticipating potential triggers, fostering communication, and encouraging informed decision-making.
