Disparities in Perinatal Loss at the Intersection of Perinatal Palliative Medicine
Toluwalasé "Lasé" A. Ajayi, MD FAAP
About This Webinar
Perinatal palliative care plays an important role in supporting families facing serious fetal diagnoses, life-limiting conditions, and the possibility of pregnancy or infant loss. This webinar explores disparities in perinatal loss and the intersection of perinatal palliative medicine, including how systemic inequities may influence access to compassionate, family-centered care. Participants will examine practical approaches to referral criteria, conversations about uncertainty, birth planning, and follow-up after loss, with an emphasis on supporting families through complex decisions and improving communication and continuity of care.
