National Funeral Directors Association Professional Women's Conference

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – In May, Return to Zero: Hope's Founder and Executive Director, Dr. Kiley Hanish, and Director of Clinical Education, Kristin James, LCPC, presented at the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) Professional Women's Conference in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Their presentation highlighted When Goodbye Comes Too Soon, a new resource developed through funding support from the National Funeral Directors Association/Funeral Service Foundation and the Pediatric Palliative Care Coalition. Designed for funeral directors, healthcare professionals, and bereaved families, the booklet provides guidance on final disposition options, funerals and memorial services, remembrance, and memory making following pregnancy loss.

For many families, decisions surrounding after-death care are made during a time of profound grief, often with little information or support. This resource was created to help families better understand their options while offering professionals a compassionate tool to guide conversations and care.

When Goodbye Comes Too Soon will be available free of charge later this year.
